Kindle/Ipad Document Download Instructions

Here are instructions for getting the lecture/explorations onto your Kindle:

You should be able to download the files from the website, and plug your kindle into your computer with the USB cord and open your kindle up like a disk onto your computer desktop.  Then throw the kindle versions into the “documents” folder on your kindle.  Eject and look at your Home menu and you should see them!  If that’s too confusing, there is another way using an email address kindle assigned to you.  Instructions are towards the bottom of this page: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200505520

Open iTunes (if not installed, click here to download iTunes), connect your iPad to your computer, and wait for your iPad to synch with iTunes. Once your iPad has finished synching with iTunes, select File>Add to Library or Press Ctrl+O (Cmd+O on a Mac) to locate and import your ebooks into iTunes or simply drag your ePub ebooks into iTunes from your file browser. Note: your converted ebooks will appear in your designated Calibre download folder in a folder named after the book’s author.

After adding your ebooks to iTunes, most of the work is done. To finish adding your ebooks to your iPad, select your iPad in iTunes (in the left panel under the Devices tab) and navigate to the Books tab in your iPad’s settings. In iTunes, you’ll be able to select whether you’d prefer to synch all books or if you’d like to select individual books to be synched with your iPad. Once you’ve organized your ebooks to your liking, click the Synch button located at the bottom right corner of the Books panel in iTunes under you iPad’s settings and your ebooks will appear in iBooks in just a few minutes.
